SOMA BREATH : Guided Breath Sequence : guided introduction sequence

Ciara Ni Dhiomasaigh and Josef Steiner

Soma Breath : with Josef Steiner.

For those of you who wish to continue with the practice, here is the plan for the continuation.

I will record a simple guided introduction sequence that you can practice by yourself before the end of the week. I will keep adding more to this every week.

Soma breath is a powerful meditation technique that uses guided breath sequences to reach deep meditative states. It has been designed by Niraj Naik, a trained pharmacist, using ancient yogic breathing methods which are adapted into a simple and effective program without the requirement for any prior training. All the exercises are based on sound scientific studies which validate the effectiveness of the program.
Our breath has powerful transformational potential when it is brought under our conscious control. Soma breath uses breathing to musical beats as a tool to entrain the entire body physiology into rhythmical coherence. It combines rhythmical sections with breath holding phases which stimulate heightened states of consciousness opening the portal into depths of calmness and coherence which are often unavailable in our normal daily life routines.
The practice can be oriented to enhance physical abilities, improve health and immune function, improve cognitive ability and concentration, and improved psycho-emotionally states.

The vision that has motivated me this project is to create connections without boundaries and to create a breathing community beyond my local confines.
I received my first breathing lessons from the late Iwamoto Sensei my wonderful Aikido teacher in Vienna 32 years ago. I still remember the powerful transformational processes in my life that followed during those years. Over the years I have learned and tested many different breathing techniques.
It is surprising how difficult it is to extract a simple recipe that can be shared and safely practiced from the vast number of techniques and traditions. Traditionally it involves a life commitment to the art of Aikido or any other traditional practice. Progress and results often clarify only over years and decades.
When I came across the Wim Hof Method some years ago I knew straight away that the simple technique opened gateways into embodied states of consciousness that I had before touched upon in a random and coincidental way without ever having the theory that could explain how to reach those spaces systematically.
In my view Niarj Naik the founder of SOMA BREATH offers the clearest explanations that clarify the SOMA BREATH techniques and I am very happy that I can bring this practice to you.

The group sessions will be running on Zoom once a week on Mondays  from 20:00 to 21:30
